After serving twenty-nine years in the U.S. Army and retiring at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, Yolanda G. Stewart is now executive pastor of Mosaic Church in Tennessee. Mosaic is a multi-campus, international ministry where for more than nine years Yolanda has served as a mentor to elders, pastors, and staff. In addition, she is a Bible teacher, recording artist, author, inventor, and entrepreneur.
Yolanda has been a conference speaker and leader for Christian and corporate audiences across the United States and beyond. She also serves as executive director for two non-profit organizations: Going Local Initiative (committed to providing affordable housing) and Wilma’s Hope (committed to making accessibility modifications for senior adult homeowners). Yolanda is also the executive director of Kiana’s House, a non-profit transitional home for children entering the foster care system.
Yolanda is a graduate of Wright State University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Organizational Communication. She is the author of Determined to Believe Again (2009) and The Little Books That Everyone Should Read series.
Yolanda would tell you that, Isaiah 50:4 (NIV) best defines her mission in life: “The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed”.
Yolanda enjoys traveling around the country competing in half-marathon races. She also loves to hike, camp, and explore the beauty of God’s creation with Damon, her high school sweetheart and husband of thirty-six years, Yolanda and Damon reside in Clarksville, Tennessee, where they enjoy their three adult children, the grandchildren along with their grandchildren. family dinners, bonfires, and conversations in the company of their three adult children and their families.
